Meet the speakers and worship leader!  Cheryl Goss

Cheryl Goss is a women’s conference speaker, Bible teacher, encourager, and founder of Connecting Ministries. She is passionate about helping women find their own passions and gifts by claiming the story God has given them. Cheryl’s mission—personally and through Connecting Ministries—is to reach all women, regardless of denomination, generation, or background. She wants to connect with each woman she meets on a personal level and make them feel comfortable, accepted, and loved. Her passion is to share God’s Word in a way that speaks to each woman where she is so that they leave encouraged and wanting more of Him.

Cheryl came to know Christ after she walked through many dark trials during her childhood and young adult years. Once she came to know Him and the love He pours on us each day, He gave her a passion of sharing the Word of God and walking with others as we live out our messy lives. Cheryl leads a busy and sometimes chaotic life, but she has been happily married to the man who showed her to Christ. She is the wife to Ryan and mother to Timothy, Peyton, Layla, and Mia. Cheryl is passionate about seeing lives changed through the love that can only come from our Lord and Savior. Her family resides in Decatur, AL.Tasha Layton

South Carolina-native Tasha Layton launched her music career in Los Angeles, quickly becoming an in-demand session singer. She appeared on Season 9 of American Idol and spent four years as a back-up vocalist for pop superstar Katy Perry. Layton’s voice has also been heard in productions for Disneyland and Cirque du Soleil, as well Nickelodeon television, and she has served as an instructor at the National Praise and Worship Institute at Nashville’s Trevecca Nazarene University.  Layton is married to GRAMMY® and GMA Dove Award-winning producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and member of TobyMac’s Diverse City Band, Keith Everette Smith, and the couple reside in Nashville with their two children. Her latest, critically acclaimed BEC Recordings EP, Into the Sea, released last year.

Ali Propst

Ali Propst is a native of Decatur, Alabama. She came to know Christ at a young age. She became overwhelmed with Christ after experiencing the loss of several family members, being a new parent, a miscarriage, and other challenges facing many women today. Studying the truth that God’s Word provides has been a constant source of growth and encouragement. Ali is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a degree in Management Information Systems and Computer Science. She has worked in the banking industry for twenty-six years. Ali has been married to John for the past twenty-six years, and they have a 17-year-old daughter, Mary-Peyton. Ali is passionate about looking for ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community. She hopes to help the next generation have that same passion. Her message to other women is to constantly return to the truth of God’s Word. Whether you are in a valley or on the mountaintop, the truth offers us encouragement, rest, love, and most of all, freedom.
