Did you know?
This is the fifth and biggest Love in Action at First Baptist Church of Decatur. We are sponsoring over 120 kids from 41 different families in our community.
We begin the season preparing to help those at our church's partner school, Austinville Elementary, and with incredible guidance from their principal, Ms. Givens, and counselor, Ms. Marmolejo, - we assess how many more people we can take in.
This year, we have the honor of sponsoring kids and their families from the Neighborhood Christian Center thanks to money given to the church in memory of Mr. Jerry Shumake. Larry Dunlap, one of our own, has headed this up and has been in communication with Ms. Pamela at the N.C.C.
We are a blessed church and look forward to seeing what God will do through the gifts given this year. We are praying that the Gospel, the Good News, penetrates hearts through the gifts given by the people of FBC Decatur.
